September Full Moon Walk

Salt Lake Marina
Meet at the observation point just past the visitor center at 8:10 pm. The Moon is scheduled to rise at 8:20 pm so please be prompt, the gates will be closing at 8:30 pm. Flashlights are recommended. While the event is free, everyone is asked to pay the $3.00 (per vehicle) to enter the park. Dogs are welcome but must be on leash.

Only 100 people max capacity on this tour. If you are not pre-registered we can not guarantee you will have a spot on the tour.
Join a park ranger for an evening stroll across the expanse of Silver Sands Beach. The walk will a little after sunset, and we will watch as the moon rises and casts its reflection over the Great Salt Lake.
This is the 4th part of our Great Salt Lake Full Moon Walk Series. Each walk throughout the summer will have a different topic. September’s Topic will be Recreation around the Great Salt Lake.
Meet at the observation point just past the visitor center at 7:45 pm. The Moon is scheduled to begin to rise at 7:49 pm so please be prompt, the gates will be closing at 8 pm. We will walk and talk as we wait for the moon to rise above the Oquirrh mountains.
The walk will consist of approximately 1/2 mile along relatively flat terrain.
Flashlights are recommended, though we will keep them off for much of the time. They will be helpful on the walk back. Bug Spray is also recommended.
The event tour is $3 per person + the $5 (per vehicle) to enter the park. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.
*This event may be canceled if the weather is cloudy or bad.
** This is event is held at the Great Salt Lake Marina in Magna, and NOT on Antelope Island.
