rocky mountain careCare Volunteer, Rocky Mountain Care Foundation

Rocky Mountain Care Foundation, a nonprofit organization, is looking for volunteers in Tooele. Our volunteers provide respite care, friendly visits, conversation, light household chores, and other needs to terminally ill patients who are on our hospice services. Training, background check, and TB test required—all provided.

No matter how you choose to give of yourself, we can direct you to a fulfilling volunteer opportunity!

DO UNTO OTHERS – HANDYMAN SERVICES – Are you handy around the house? Do you like to do yard work? The Foundation’s community outreach volunteer program, ”DUO” (Do Unto Others) will provide critical yet minor home repairs as well as seasonal yard maintenance for low income seniors or those living with disabilities who are homeowners in Davis County. With assistance from an Americorps VISTA cost share grant we are able to bring these services to our community. A neighbor’s independence depends on you!

HOSPICE and HOMECARE: For the chronic or terminally ill individuals, and their families, who are on hospice or homecare services, and those who need some extra assistance, volunteers will give: respite care, friendly visits and conversation, help with end-of-life projects, and compassionate family support at patients’ homes.

SKILLED NURSING FACILITIES: These volunteers provide friendly visits to patients in skilled nursing facilities who are lonely and/or in need of a kind heart and giving hands to bring some sunshine into their day.
