Kiwanis Club of Tooele
Our local Kiwanis Club (http://kiwanisoftooele.yolasite.com/) is all about serving the needs of children. We focus on several close-to-home causes and projects. Among them are the Babycare Cupboard, which supplies items not covered by state assistance programs (i.e. baby wipes, diapers); the local Head Start program; Milk for Kids; sponsorship of area Key Club chapters for high school students; the annual Children’s Health Connection Fair; and an essay contest on the importance of “The Golden Rule” for all 5th graders in our school district.

We’re a group that enjoys each other’s company and gets to have lots of fun while we go about helping others. Many of us have become life-long friends outside of our normal club meetings and have also volunteered our time and efforts across other associations.

We have weekly lunch meetings at La Frontera every Tuesday at noon. Visitors and those curious about who we are and/or what we do are always welcome to join us – without any ‘hard sell’ tactics to join. Or, if you can’t make it to our luncheons, feel free to contact our club Past-President, Mike Fields (435-840-4604 or mjfields2109@msn.com), or President-Elect, Shawn Milne (435-843-8265 or shawn@imageandsound.tv), for more information.

As with all localized Kiwanis clubs, we’re part of the larger Kiwanis International organization (http://sites.kiwanis.org/Kiwanis/en/discover/ourvalues.aspx). Feel free to visit the link and scout around the website to see what we stand for and the vast projects our dues support worldwide.
