Family Boat Race!

Use your creativity and have fun building your boats as a family. Families that would like to participate should make boats as a family prior to the activity. You can make one boat for your family or each family member can make their own boat. Be sure to follow the rules listed below. Boats will be raced around the lazy river at the swimming pool. Prizes will be awarded that evening. Families that pre-register and race a boat that night will be able to swim for free that evening. (Please note that all children under 3 feet 11 inches must have an adult in the pool with them at all times.)

Recreation at 843-2142 or at terras@tooelecity.org no later than Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.

Pratt Aquatic Center

(55 North 200 West, Tooele)

Race Check In at5:45 p.m.
Race will Start at 6:00 p.m.
Swimming will Start @ 6:30 p.m.

(Please remember that this is a family event. All youth must be accompanied by an adult.)

We would suggest that you make your boats out of
CLEAN plastic water or soda bottles.
The boat can be no larger than a 2 liter bottle.
Please DO NOT use any paper, cardboard, or any material that
will break down in the water. Any boats constructed with this
type of material will not be allowed in the pool!
