Grantsville City Summer Clean – up and Recycling Roundup will be held Saturday, June 6 th . Dumpsters will be provided for Grant sville citizens at City Hall (429 E. Main St.), the City Yard (336 W. Main St.), on Worthington Street on the south side of Durfee Street, and Hollywood Park (999 S. Quirk St.) on this day. Dumpsters are for residential use only. Contractors and construc tion sites are not eligible to use them during this special event. Absolutely NO household hazardous waste allowed. Landscaping materials such as rocks, dirt, concrete, and blacktop CANNOT by placed in the dumpsters. Please don’t leave materials on the ground next to the dumpsters , and never fill the dumpster above the sidewalls. Clean out your closet. Donate unwanted items to the Community Closet. Clothing donations may be dropped off at the Grantsville High School Parking Lot on June 6 th . Items need ed: shirts, pants, shorts, jackets, shoes, new socks, and new underwear (all sizes toddler to adult). There will be a shred truck for paper document shredding and e – waste recycling available at the high school from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. E – waste items that w ill be accepted are cell phones, microwaves, and rechargeable batteries. Items NOT accepted include: CRT TV’s/Monitors, Projection TV’s, DLP TV’s, appliances, alkaline batteries, smoke detectors, florescent bulbs, and magnetic media (example VHS tapes).
Mayor Marshall will cook hot dogs at the Cherry Street Park from 11:00 a.m. until the hot dogs are gone.
