(SLAS) Salt Lake Astronomical Society will break ground Saturday afternoon at 5:00 pm for the building at the Stansbury Park Observatory Complex (SPOC) that will house this planet’s largest amateur telescope, a behemoth with a mirror 70 inches in diameter and a frame 35 feet long built by e Utah stargazer Mike Clements.
