The County Fair is off, but the Livestock Show is on Aug 1-3. Come on down and check it out!

ATTENTION! 4-H Exhibit Expo scheduled for August 2-3 at Deseret Peak Complex, Livestock show and sale August1-3!

The exhibits will be open both days from 10:00am to 7:00pm at the Deseret Peak Complex, All exhibits should be brought Tuesday July 30th anytime between 1:00pm-7:00pm

4-H Exhibits Expo Activities

Friday, August 2

Fly Sky High with 4-H! — 11am
Make some paper airplanes and test your hand at flying them through obstacles.

Learn by Doing: sunny FUNdials! — 2pm A fundamental principle in 4-H’s entire spectrum of projects and camps is to Learn by Doing! We will be demonstrating this principle as we show you how to make a quick fun sundial that really tells the Time! This will be fun for everyone and is a great example of the type of activities we do at our 4-H camps and science clubs!

Animal Imitation Contest — 4pm
You may not be an animal at the livestock show, but you may be able to act and sound like one! Come show off your animal imitations and be entertained by the other animal imitators too!

4-H Fashion Show — 7pm
Do you know how talented Tooele County 4-Her’s are? You’ll see when you come watch them model their clothing items they have sewn this year!

Saturday, August 3

Minute to Win It — 11am
Do you have what it takes to complete a challenge in one minute? Of course you do! Come ready to be challenged and impress people with your skills!

Jell-O Slurping Contest — 2pm
Green, blue, red, or yellow? We won’t tell you what flavor of Jell-o you’ll have to slurp up for this challenge, but we will tell you that you will have to slurp it through a straw!

Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest — 5pm
Don’t be melon-coly! Come have fun spitting watermelon seeds and see if you can spit usugenericwordmarkyours the furthest. Free watermelon will be provided for everyone who attends.

4-H youth programs offer a variety of fun and educational programs for kids primarily from ages 8 (must be in the 3rd grade) through 12th grade. Our youth programs include after-school clubs, youth camps, and community, project, and family clubs. These programs are run by the Extension Office Staff, Volunteer 4-H Leaders, and parents. The youth programs offered by 4-H include over 100 project areas from outdoor recreation to robotics. Aug 7-8 Spend time outside learning about the importance of the earth and natural resources, alternative energy resources, and GPS technology. For 3rd grade and Up. $5 registration due by Aug 5th.
