The airfield and surrounding desert were used by flight and bomb crews of the Enola Gay and Bock’s Car as they prepared to drop atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. The museum and displays are in the Operations Building. Wendover Airbase is an active airport and the museum is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
