Ophir Historic District
Ophir, UT
The Ophir Historic District gives visitors a glimpse of mining life in tranquil and picturesque Ophir Canyon during the late 1800s. A portion of the old mining town’s buildings has been lovingly restored, including a post office and a train filled with period antiques and artifacts from the past, including photos and historic articles. All of the furnishings reflect life in the late 1800s to early 1900s.
Additional buildings are scheduled to be restored, plus the arrival and display of additional old-time mining equipment and other related artifacts. The site is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day from Memorial Day until the end of September.
